Aluminium frames are dramatically slimmer than uPVC — meaning more glass, more light, and a contemporary aesthetic ideal for extensions, rear elevations and statement entrances. Modern thermal breaks make aluminium just as energy-efficient as the best uPVC systems.
Aluminium is the frame of choice for anything where sightlines matter — bi-fold doors, wide rear-elevation sliders, minimalist windows on extensions, and modern front doors with real presence. Modern thermally-broken systems (a polyamide bar isolating the inside and outside faces) close the historic gap with uPVC on U-values.
We work with tried-and-tested UK-supported systems only. Every install carries a 10-year guarantee on the frames and hardware, and our aluminium bi-folds and sliders are PAS 24 tested for security.

Bi-folds and sliders love a bit of TLC.
The running gear is the one part of an aluminium door that benefits from a proper annual check — five minutes will keep the operation glass-smooth for decades.
- Vacuum the bottom track every couple of months — grit is the biggest enemy of smooth glide
- Once a year, a spray of dry silicone lubricant on rollers, hinges and locking strips
- Wipe the powder-coated frames with warm soapy water — never abrasive cleaners
- Check the drainage weep holes at the bottom of the outer frame are clear
- If a panel starts to bind or drop, call us — roller height is fully adjustable and covered under guarantee
