Scope of work
This project opened up the back of the family home with a full single-storey rear extension. The brief was to bring garden-facing light deep into the kitchen and give the family a genuine indoor–outdoor space for the summer months.
We handled the build from foundations through to hand-over — strip footings, cavity blockwork with insulation, a warm-roof flat roof build-up and a full set of anthracite aluminium bi-folds spanning the rear elevation. Externally, we finished the project with an Indian sandstone patio to blur the transition between kitchen and garden.
The finished extension gives the family the flexible open-plan space they wanted, with the aluminium bi-folds letting them open the entire rear wall on warmer days.
