Full replacement of a tired timber deck with a new composite deck, wraparound railings and a rebuilt sub-frame.
Scope of work
The existing timber decking had rotted at the joists and was no longer safe to use. The homeowners wanted a low-maintenance replacement that would last, plus proper railings so the raised area could be used year-round.
We stripped out the old deck, rebuilt the sub-frame in treated timber and laid new grey composite boards across the full footprint. Wrought-iron railings tie the deck back to the house and give the whole garden a much more finished look.
The finished space is now the family's main outdoor entertaining area — and, unlike the original timber deck, it won't need annual staining or sealing.
